If the sight, one of our most important senses, deteriorate it will have an influence on our daily lives. A visual impairment affects both the young and the old, but in different ways. Children may have difficulties in completing their studies, adults may find it harder to do their work properly whereas older people may find it difficult to cope with everyday life. The IAA project “Africa in Sight” is designed to support the most vulnerable individuals in northeastern Tanzania, those living with reduced vision and lacking the means to do something about it. The project offers, through our local partners, free examinations and glasses at stationary and mobile locations in the region. There is a very great need for this, and your contribution is vital for the project to survive and develop!
